Overview

PromptGO is a teleprompter and video recording app. This policy explains what information the app processes, why, and the choices you have. We do not sell your personal information.

Content that stays on your device

Your scripts, recordings and app settings are stored on your device. Videos you save are written to your photo library in the "Promptgo" album. We do not upload your videos or scripts to our servers.

Account

When you first open the app we create an anonymous account identified only by a random ID. It lets us provide AI features fairly and keep your subscription. If you choose to link an email address or sign in with Apple, we store that email address or Apple identifier with your account so you can restore it on another device. If Apple's "Hide My Email" is used, we only receive the relay address.

AI features

When you use AI script generation, the details you enter (topic, tone, length, description) are sent through our server to our AI provider (Groq) to generate the text. When you create automatic captions, the audio track of that video is sent the same way to be transcribed. This content is processed only to return the result and is not stored by us. We keep a daily usage counter per account to enforce fair-use limits.

Purchases

Subscriptions are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status; it receives your anonymous account ID and purchase information from the store. We never receive your payment card details.

Advertising measurement

To understand which of our ads bring people to PromptGO, the app uses the Meta (Facebook) SDK to record app installs, sign-ups and subscription events. On iOS, the device advertising identifier is only used if you allow tracking in the system prompt; you can change this at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

Crash reports

If the app crashes, technical diagnostics (device model, OS version, error details) may be sent to our error monitoring service (Sentry) so we can fix problems. These reports do not include your scripts or videos.

Permissions

Camera and microphone are used only to record while you are recording. Photo library access is used to save your recordings and show them in the Library tab.

Data retention and deletion

You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Account → Delete account. This permanently removes your account, its linked email or Apple ID, usage counters and subscription record from our systems, and the scripts and audio recordings stored by the app on your phone. Videos you saved to your photo library stay there and can be deleted in the app or the Photos app. Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription; cancel it in your App Store or Google Play settings.

Children

PromptGO is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or KVKK), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data and to object to its processing. Contact us using the support option in Settings and we will respond within 30 days.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date above shows the latest version; significant changes will be announced in the app.
